Your Coop

Product Operations Specialist

About the position

About the role:

Coop Holidays is looking for an experienced Product Operations Specialist to join their team.

Reporting to the Product Manager, you will act as a key link between the team and senior management. While the Product Manager sets the strategy, you will be responsible for the high-level execution of the product lifecycle.

Crucially, you will serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all product team processes, ensuring that workflows are efficient, documented, and followed. You will take ownership of day-to-day operations and act as the key contact for both technical and procedural queries. Knowledge of the travel industry is essential as well as being comfortable inputting data and using systems for eg. contract loading, content management.

  • Process Subject Matter Expert: Act as the primary authority on all internal product team workflows; documenting, refining, and troubleshooting processes to ensure maximum efficiency.

  • Offer Management: Source and curate high-quality content for promotional use, ensuring all product output aligns with brand standards.

  • Sales Analysis: Regularly monitor sales performance and provide detailed data summaries to the Product Manager to help inform reactive business decisions.

  • Commercial Support: Support the Product Manager in commercial negotiations and take lead responsibility for maintaining relationships with established suppliers.

  • System Ownership: Oversee the loading and accuracy of contracts in the stock system, serving as the "final check" for quality control before products go live.

  • Problem Resolution: Act as the departmental champion for technical support issues, coordinating with third-party providers to resolve system bugs efficiently.

  • Project Coordination: Assist in the delivery of projects by coordinating tasks across internal departments to eg. launch new products, landing pages, website journeys.

  • Training & Documentation: Identify knowledge gaps in the wider business and produce the documentation or training sessions required to bridge them.

Who are we looking for?

  • Process-Driven: A natural "Subject Matter Expert" who enjoys organising workflows and ensuring everyone knows the best way to complete a task.

  • Experienced: Previous experience in the travel industry is essential, with a deep understanding of distribution systems and product loading.

  • Organised: Able to prioritise a busy workload and meet deadlines without constant supervision.

  • Detail-Orientated: A "right first time" attitude, specifically regarding pricing, data input, and contract management.

  • Communicator: Strong verbal and written skills, capable of dealing with both internal teams and external partners with diplomacy.

  • Proactive: Willing to take the initiative on tasks and provide solutions rather than just reporting problems.

What can we offer you?

• Employee Discounts – Save up to 60% off Childcare, 20% off your Food Shop and 15% off your next Holiday
• 30 Days Annual Leave - Rising with service up to a maximum of 37 days
• Health and Wellbeing Programmes – Benefit from our Stream App and our partnership with Grocery Aid for financial and mental health support
• Full Training and Accredited Development Plans
Enhanced Maternity, Paternity and Family leave and more!

About the company

Who are we

Your Co-op is a family of businesses operated by The Midcounties Co-operative. We're the largest UK co-operative fully owned by its' members therefore we're owned by you.

How it began

It all began when our co-operative families decided to merge, creating a stronger, more effective society. From here, we were able to share more goods and services for a responsible price, showing other retailers what’s possible.

The People

People have been at the heart of every co-operative since the first one opened its doors in 1844. We’ve moved with the times to always make a progressive difference. And as our business grows, we give back more than ever. Profits and rewards are shared. Decisions are taken democratically between colleagues and members. It’s a kinder, more inclusive way of doing business.

Market-leading success

We’ve been able to expand into more areas of expertise. Our range of Co-op brands covers a host of needs across the home; meaning you won’t need to worry about missing the benefits of your food shop when arranging your childcare, for example. Today, we have over 700,000 members, making us one of the largest co-operatives, but there’s always room for more. Join us today and start sharing the rewards.
