About the role:

We are excited to announce this maternity cover vacancy for a dedicated People Partner. Reporting to the Senior People Partner, you will support our trading areas at an operational level in delivering our people strategy. As a trusted advisor and coach to operational leadership, you will focus on developing great leaders, executing the central people team strategy, and utilising people MI to make data-driven recommendations and solutions.
As part of this role, you will be responsible for:
• Supporting the Senior People Partner with change programmes, developing business cases, project timelines and colleague consultation and communication plans
• Educating Managers and Operational Leaders for ER skills and employment legislation, including internal case reviews, attending managers clubs as SME’s and example relevant tribunal cases to support learning
• Working in partnership with the People Development Team to identify appropriate learning solutions, provide business unit insight during the scoping of development initiatives and provide guidance and support on the best way to engage colleagues in development
• Coaching individuals and teams to deliver WGLL, constructively challenging by holding the mirror up, role modelling great feedback and adapting style to meet the needs of learners
• Reviewing and analysing data to track people trends, assessing the impacts of these trends on overall business performance, identifying root causes and recommending solutions
• Supporting trading group specific Diversity & Inclusion activities and the delivery of its key aims and objectives
• Working closely with the central resourcing team, providing insight on resource planning

This role involves a mix of working from home and visiting our nurseries.
Who are we looking for?
To be successful in the role, you will need: • Generalist people experience, CIPD qualified to Level 5 and above or equivalent experience
• Sound and up to date knowledge of employment legislation with experience of managing people change projects
• Continuous improvement mindset – strong customer focus and commitment to making a positive impact on colleague experience
• Ability to question and challenge others to get to the root of people and business issues
• Ability to coach and provide feedback to key stakeholders to help improve business efficiency
• Ability to build effective working relationships at all levels
• A strong communicator, both in writing and spoken communication at all levels
• Demonstrable high level IT levels
